Bureau Stedelijke Planning BV (translated as Office for Urban Planning) offers consultancy, design and project management services in the field of urban development. The company consists of four teams: Urban planning and Centre development, Retail & leisure, Economy & Commercial real estate and Housing. Bureau Stedelijke Planning has been active for 15 years and has offices in the cities of Amsterdam and Gouda. Bureau Stedelijke Planning always delivers tailor made solutions that are the result of an integral approach. We deliver high quality work with quantifiable added value and with an optimal balance between creativity and realism.

Bureau Stedelijke Planning and Ecocities

Our company values sustainable urban development and Ecocities. It is estimated that around 50% of the world’s population now lives in cities and urban areas. This amount will grow considerably in the coming years, making cities the key factor in sustainability thinking and creating the smallest possible ecological footprint. An eco-city can feed itself with minimal reliance on the surrounding countryside, power itself with renewable sources of energy and water is used efficiently. An ecocity is composed of compact, pedestrian-oriented, mixed-use quarters or neighbourhoods. These are connected by a polycentric urban system of public-transport-oriented locations.
