Rating by our clients
Bureau Stedelijke Planning and Ecocities
Our company values sustainable urban development and Ecocities. It is estimated that around 50% of the world’s population now lives in cities and urban areas. This amount will grow considerably in the coming years, making cities the key factor in sustainability thinking and creating the smallest possible ecological footprint. An eco-city can feed itself with minimal reliance on the surrounding countryside, power itself with renewable sources of energy and water is used efficiently. An ecocity is composed of compact, pedestrian-oriented, mixed-use quarters or neighbourhoods. These are connected by a polycentric urban system of public-transport-oriented locations. An Eco-city should be an attractive place to live and work: well designed public spaces, green areas and cherishing cultural heritage. Such cities contribute to the health, safety and well-being of the inhabitants.
